Trip Decision Review · Written human second look

For one developed trip and one important decision before a booking, payment or promise makes changing course harder.

A human second look at the one trip decision you do not want to get wrong.

Bring the trip that is already taking shape and the one choice that still does not feel settled. The review looks at what you are trying to protect, what is pulling against it, what still needs checking and what would change the trade-off — then puts the next priorities in order.

There is no charge to apply. Ticked Bucket List replies within two business days to tell you whether the review fits this trip and what the written second look would actually focus on.

A few things to know before you apply

For the application: describe the trip, the one decision that is still open and what you may soon need to book, pay for or agree to. You do not need to send medical records.

Before payment: we confirm what the review will look at, the $395 price and what happens next. Privacy · Terms

Already used the Starter Kit?

You should not have to start from zero. Bring the version you are considering, the decision that is still open and any checks you have already identified.

The review does not redo the whole Starter Kit. It concentrates on the one decision where a careful human second look could add something useful.

Is this the right time for a human second look?

This is for a trip that is already taking shape.

There needs to be enough of a real trip to look at properly, while the one decision you want help with is still genuinely open.

This may fit if

  • You are 18 or older.
  • The route, likely place to stay, main transport and key parts of the trip are clear enough to review.
  • You can name one decision that still does not feel settled.
  • A booking, payment or promise is approaching and will make changing course harder.
  • You can share the trip details and material that actually matter to that decision.
  • Departure is normally at least ten business days away when you apply.

Another route may fit better if

  • You are still trying to build the basic trip or work out what version you want.
  • You want someone to make bookings or contact hotels, airlines or other providers for you.
  • You want medical advice, treatment guidance or medical clearance.
  • You need certification or guarantees about accessibility, insurance, visas, airline support or other provider arrangements.

If you are still working out the version, the self-guided Starter Kit is the better starting point.

One decision, not a second planning project

Which one decision still does not feel settled?

The review is not trying to improve every part of the trip. It concentrates on what could actually change the choice in front of you — including whether a different version could protect the reason for going with fewer things pulling against it.

  • Whether to pay a non-refundable balance for the version you currently have.
  • Whether to keep the current version of a developed trip or change it before you commit.
  • Whether to keep a difficult transfer or use an alternative you already have.
  • Which of two developed versions better protects what matters most.
  • What still needs a clear answer before an important booking, payment or promise.

Why a human review can add something

The Starter Kit can structure the decision. A person can challenge it.

The review is useful when the question is no longer just “what should I consider?” but “which of these competing things actually deserves more weight here?”

  • Challenge an assumptionSomething you are treating as fixed, necessary or low priority may deserve another look.
  • Look at the trade-off in contextThe review can examine why one version protects the point of the trip better than another, rather than simply choosing the easiest option.
  • Check current facts where they matterWhere it could materially change the decision, the review can look at relevant current public information and show what still needs confirming with the responsible provider or authority.
  • Put the next move in orderYou leave knowing what deserves attention before you book, pay or agree to something harder to undo.

A worked example

See what changes when one decision is looked at properly.

This fictional example shows the kind of reasoning the review can use. It is not a customer result and it does not predict what another traveller should do.

Seven-day family trip Condensed example

The decision being reviewed

Whether to pay the non-refundable balance for the current seven-day family trip.

What stands out

The family event itself is not the main problem. The difficulty is that the early airport start, uncertain room access, fixed evening plans and next-morning transfer all sit around it with very little room if arrival takes more out of the day than expected.

What already works in the plan

  • The main family event is clearly the reason for going.
  • The hotel location makes the main event easier to keep.

What still needs a clear answer

Confirm whether early room access or a quiet waiting arrangement is actually available before relying on it.

What to do before paying

  1. Get a clear answer about room access or waiting before paying the balance.
  2. Take the optional arrival-day activity out of the version you are relying on.
  3. Compare the current transfer with the later alternative that is already available.

Why these things belong together

No single part of the trip decides the issue. The concern is that several fixed things all depend on the same small bit of breathing room around arrival.

Before the next commitment

Resolve the room-access and transfer questions before paying the non-refundable balance.

If this is the kind of decision you are facing, you can apply now.

Applying is free. The review question and scope are agreed before you are asked to pay $395.

How the review works

We only look at what could change this decision.

The review uses the TBL Trip Fit Method to look at the parts of the trip that could actually change the agreed decision. It is not a repeat of the whole planning process and it does not assess your health.

  1. 01 Get the question clear

Agree the one question and what you may soon need to book, pay for or promise.

  2. 02 Look at what could change the answer

Look at the travel, place to stay, timing, lighter time, flexibility and backup choices that actually matter to the question.

  3. 03 See what is piling up together

Notice when several parts of the trip land too close together or all depend on one thing that has not been confirmed.

  4. 04 Check current facts where they matter

Where it could change the decision, review relevant current public information and identify what still needs confirming with the responsible provider or authority.

  5. 05 Separate what matters now from what can wait

Keep the things that could change the decision separate from ideas that are merely nice to consider.

  6. 06 Put the next moves in order

Show what to check, change or do before you commit.

What you receive

Leave knowing what deserves attention before you commit.

You receive a written PDF, usually 6–8 pages, centred on the agreed decision rather than a general review of everything that could possibly change. The point is not the number of pages; it is knowing what matters most to this decision and what to do next.

  • What stands out and why it matters to this decision.
  • What already works in the version you are considering.
  • What genuinely needs changing or a clear answer.
  • The three to five things that deserve attention first.
  • The exact questions worth taking to a hotel, airline, venue, insurer or other responsible provider where needed.
  • What should be settled before the next booking, payment or promise.
  • One related written follow-up question.

If you are still working out the version

The Starter Kit is probably the better place to start.

The Starter Kit helps you find and build a workable version yourself. Trip Decision Review is for a version that is already developed and one important decision that still deserves a careful human second look.

See the TBL Travel Again Starter Kit — $69 →

If you already bought the Starter Kit: if you bought it for the same trip within the previous 90 days and can share useful completed Starter Kit material, ask before payment whether the $69 purchase can be applied to the review. Any credit must be confirmed before payment.

Practical questions

What you may want to know before applying.

Do I pay before applying?

No. Apply first. If the trip fits, Ticked Bucket List will confirm the agreed review question, scope and payment step.

Does everything need to be booked already?

No. The route, likely place to stay, main transport and key parts of the trip only need to be clear enough for the agreed decision to be looked at properly.

Does the review include a call?

No. The application, intake, report and follow-up are written.

What if something important is missing?

Ticked Bucket List may ask one short set of clarification questions before the review starts. The delivery clock begins once the information needed for the agreed review is complete.

When would this become a different review?

A different trip, a new main decision or a major change outside what we agreed to review may need a new scope agreement and a separate review.

Can the review confirm accessibility or what a provider will actually do?

No. The review can identify what needs a clear answer and why it matters, but the hotel, airline, venue, insurer or other responsible provider or authority must confirm its own current arrangements.

Is this medical advice or medical clearance?

No. The review examines the trip plan. It does not assess symptoms, provide treatment or medication guidance, or decide whether you are medically fit to travel.

A human travel decision review — not medical care or a booking service.

Trip Decision Review looks at the trip and the one agreed decision within the scope we confirm with you. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, medication changes, medical clearance, fitness-to-fly certification, emergency care, travel-agent booking or guarantees about external providers.

Medical questions belong with an appropriate clinician. Current provider, accessibility, insurance, visa, airline and border requirements should be confirmed with the organisation or authority responsible for them. Read the full Safety & Boundaries page.
