Terms of use and purchase

Terms & Conditions

Effective date: Version: 2.0

These Terms govern use of tickedbucketlist.com and the current Ticked Bucket List products and services, including the Free Mini-Check, the Trip Fit Starter Kit and Trip Decision Review.

Key commercial points

  • Ticked Bucket List is operated by Pain Strategies.
  • The Free Mini-Check is free and does not create a paid service relationship.
  • The Trip Fit Starter Kit is a self-guided digital product currently priced at $69 USD once, with no subscription and no individual review included.
  • Trip Decision Review is a separate written service currently priced at $395 USD for one accepted developed trip and one important planning decision.
  • Trip Decision Review requires an application before payment and includes the written review plus one permitted follow-up question under the accepted service terms.
  • Mandatory consumer rights apply even where these Terms describe a no-refund or limitation rule.

1. Agreement and operator

Ticked Bucket List is operated by Pain Strategies. In these Terms, “Ticked Bucket List”, “TBL”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Pain Strategies when it operates the website or supplies a product or service under the Ticked Bucket List brand.

By accessing or using the website, a tool, resource, account, paid product, application, support route or service, you agree to the Terms that apply to that use.

Other documents may also apply, including the Privacy Policy, Safety & Boundaries, Medical & Travel Disclaimer, the relevant product or service page, checkout terms, order confirmation, invoice and accepted service particulars.

Transaction-specific terms may add or clarify details for a particular purchase or service. If they conflict with these general Terms, the transaction-specific terms control that transaction to the extent of the conflict, subject to rights and obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded or changed.

2. Services and boundaries

TBL provides travel-planning education, self-guided planning tools and, where accepted, a written Trip Decision Review service. Current offers include the Free Mini-Check, the Trip Fit Starter Kit and Trip Decision Review.

Planning support, not medical care

TBL does not provide diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, medication changes, medical monitoring, medical clearance, fitness-to-travel or fitness-to-fly certification, urgent care or emergency care.

TBL is not a travel agency, tour operator, insurer, law firm, embassy, regulator, airline, accessibility certifier or booking service. It does not make bookings, issue official permission or guarantee accessibility, provider performance, insurance cover, symptom control or travel outcomes.

Using TBL does not create a doctor-patient, clinician-patient, travel-agent, insurer, fiduciary or lawyer-client relationship.

Trip Fit describes the fit of the trip plan. It is not a statement of medical fitness to travel.

3. Eligibility, accounts and browser-local data

Age and legal capacity

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract to buy a paid product or enter a Trip Decision Review agreement, unless applicable law and an approved workflow allow otherwise.

Accounts and access

  • Provide accurate account, order and contact information.
  • Keep login details, access links and devices reasonably secure.
  • Do not use another person’s account without permission.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe paid access has been used without permission.

Browser-local trip data

Some TBL tools store answers or progress in the browser on the device you use. This is separate from customer-account access.

  • Clearing browser data may remove saved trip information.
  • Changing browser or device does not automatically move browser-local trip data.
  • Where an export or backup option is available, use it before changing device or clearing site data.
  • You are responsible for copies you download, export, email, print or share.

4. Trip Fit Starter Kit — $69

The Trip Fit Starter Kit is a self-guided digital planning product currently priced at $69 USD as a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription and does not include individual review by a clinician or other TBL reviewer.

  • Access is supplied through the customer-account route described at purchase.
  • The purchaser may use the Starter Kit for their own future trips, subject to these Terms and any product-specific licence.
  • Trip answers and progress are browser-local unless a feature expressly says otherwise.
  • Browser-local trip data is not automatically synchronised between devices.
  • Available export or backup functions are intended to help the purchaser preserve or move their own trip data.

Paid digital products are licensed for the purchaser’s personal, non-commercial use. Purchase does not transfer ownership of TBL’s website, method, tools, templates, design or other intellectual property.

Read the current Trip Fit Starter Kit page and checkout information before purchase.

5. Trip Decision Review — $395

Trip Decision Review is a separate written planning service currently priced at $395 USD. It is for one accepted, developed trip and one important planning decision before a significant commitment.

  • You apply before payment.
  • There is no charge to submit the application.
  • TBL normally responds to the application within two business days.
  • Payment is requested only after the trip and decision are accepted as within scope.
  • The service covers one accepted trip and one main planning decision.
  • The written report is normally approximately 6–8 pages and provides ordered priorities and checks.
  • Delivery is normally within five business days after payment and receipt of all required information.
  • The service includes one written follow-up question under the accepted service terms.
  • The service is asynchronous and does not include a default live consultation or call.

The accepted service particulars and invoice form part of the agreement and define the accepted trip, main decision, scope, timing, required information, delivery and follow-up.

TBL may decline, redirect, pause or close a request that is outside scope, materially incomplete, abusive, unsafe to handle as travel planning, legally problematic or materially different from the accepted trip or decision.

Read the current Trip Decision Review page before applying.

6. Orders, payments, refunds and access

Prices and payment

The current published prices are $69 USD for the Starter Kit and $395 USD for Trip Decision Review. Prices may change for future purchases. The price and currency shown at checkout or on the invoice govern the transaction being entered into.

Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. Pain Strategies may receive transaction, status, amount, invoice, receipt, refund and support information needed to fulfil and account for the transaction, but does not receive the user's full payment-card number.

Starter Kit refunds

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, or where a duplicate charge, incorrect charge or access failure requires correction, the Starter Kit is non-refundable once digital access has been provided.

Trip Decision Review cancellations and refunds

  • There is no charge before payment.
  • After payment but before review work begins, a cancellation request may be refunded under the applicable service terms, subject to any lawful and clearly disclosed payment-processing deduction.
  • Once review work has begun, Trip Decision Review is non-refundable for change of mind, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • If TBL cannot deliver an accepted paid service, the failure will be corrected or the affected amount refunded as required by the accepted terms and applicable law.
  • A material change to the trip or main decision may require the work to pause, be re-scoped or close. One review does not automatically cover a replacement trip or a new main decision.

Access or payment problems

Contact info@tickedbucketlist.com with the purchase email, date, amount and transaction reference. Do not send full payment-card information.

Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights or prevents use of a complaint, chargeback or other remedy available under applicable law.

7. Information, privacy and user responsibilities

Information you provide

You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit is accurate, relevant, current and yours to provide.

Do not send unnecessary medical records, payment-card information, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information through general forms, email or service intake. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

Your planning responsibilities

You remain responsible for:

  • medical, medication and fitness-to-travel decisions;
  • insurance cover, exclusions, claims and assistance routes;
  • passports, visas, transit, entry requirements and local laws;
  • bookings, cancellations, refunds and provider contracts;
  • airline, airport, accommodation and accessibility arrangements;
  • deciding whether a particular itinerary, activity, pace or environment is appropriate for you;
  • confirming important facts with the responsible provider or official source before relying on them.

8. Responsible use and intellectual property

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the website or products for unlawful, harmful or fraudulent purposes;
  • bypass payment, access, account, safety or technical controls;
  • interfere with, overload, probe or security-test the service without permission;
  • submit false, abusive, misleading, infringing or irrelevant content;
  • present a TBL output as medical, legal, insurance, official or provider-approved advice;
  • use another person’s account, purchase or service without permission.

Intellectual property and personal licence

Pain Strategies owns or licenses the Ticked Bucket List website, branding, text, tools, design, planning methods, templates, guides, downloads and other materials.

You may use materials supplied to you for your own personal, non-commercial travel planning, subject to the applicable product licence. You may not copy, resell, republish, redistribute, scrape, remove notices, create a competing commercial product from, or use the materials to train or evaluate a system without written permission.

9. Third parties, changing information and availability

The website may use or link to payment providers, Squarespace, account tools, forms, email services, analytics, travel providers, official sources and other third parties. A third party controls its own services, terms, privacy practices, availability, policies and decisions.

Travel information can change, including schedules, closures, strikes, entry requirements, airline procedures, accessibility details, prices and local conditions. Verify a material fact with the provider or official source that controls it before relying on it.

TBL may maintain, update, suspend, limit or discontinue a page, tool or feature. Where a change materially affects an existing paid entitlement or accepted service, the applicable purchase terms, service-specific terms and mandatory rights continue to apply.
