We build privacy-first, on-device tools for pain-informed travel. These Terms explain your rights and responsibilities when using our website, tools, and predictive features. They include important limits of liability, health & safety warnings, and subscription rules.
If anything here conflicts with non-waivable consumer law where you live, that local law applies.

1) Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using TBL’s website, tools, or services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree, please do not use the Services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll post a notice or highlight them in-product. Your continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
2) Who we are
Ticked Bucket List (“TBL”) provides self-applied, educational, and planning tools that help travelers living with chronic pain design safer, more predictable days. TBL serves a global audience.

3) Services & license
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
Service scope (examples)
- Self-applied planning tools (e.g., Pre-Trip Health Protocol, Personalized Pre-Travel Self-Consultation).
- On-device companions (e.g., QoL Companion, pacing and sensor utilities).
- Educational modules and decision-support content.
- Scientifically sound and evidence-based recommendations.
Some features are free; others require a paid subscription.
4) Health & safety notice
Our content is informational and educational. Tools may help you organize, pace, or plan; they do not replace individualized clinical care.
5) Not medical advice; not an emergency service
- No medical advice: Information may not accurately reflect your situation.
- Emergencies: Do not rely on Ticked Bucket List in emergencies. Call local emergency numbers immediately.
- Clinical relationship: Using Ticked Bucket List does not establish a doctor–patient relationship with us.
6) Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
- Provide accurate information and keep it updated.
- Do not share access credentials or misuse others’ accounts.
7) Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans auto-renew until canceled. You authorize our payment processor to charge your payment method for fees, taxes, and currency conversions.
- Trials: If offered, trial ends when stated; billing begins unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
- Refunds: Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable. Where local law grants withdrawal rights for digital services, those rights apply.
- Price changes: We may change prices with notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
Payments are processed by third parties. We do not store full card details.
8) Privacy & local storage
Ticked Bucket List is designed to work primarily on your device using your browser’s local storage. Default: on-device
- No automatic upload: Your entries remain on your device unless you explicitly export/share.
- Exports: If you export or share data (e.g., CSV, PDF) or connect a third-party service, you are responsible for where that data goes.
- Backups: Clearing browser data can erase your entries. Consider manual backups if available.
- Privacy Policy: See our Privacy Policy for details on what minimal data we process (e.g., subscription, support).
9) Device permissions & sensors
Some features request optional access to device capabilities (e.g., motion sensors, microphone for noise level, ambient light proxy). You can decline or revoke permissions at any time.
- Foreground use: Tools typically run in the foreground and may not function in the background.
- Estimates only: Consumer sensors are approximate; treat outputs as indicative, not precise measurements.
- Environment & safety: Use tools in safe contexts. Do not interact with the tools while driving or in unsafe situations.
- Battery/data: Sensor features may affect device battery life and data usage.
10) User content & acceptable use
- You are responsible for content you input, upload, export, or share.
- No unlawful, harmful, defamatory, infringing, or abusive use.
- No reverse engineering, scraping, automated access, or security testing without written consent.
- No attempts to bypass paywalls, limits, or safety gates.
11) Availability; changes; suspension
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted Services. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with notice where feasible. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
12) Third-party services & links
We may link to or interoperate with third-party services (e.g., payment processors, mapping/IATA distance helpers). Their terms and privacy policies govern those services; we are not responsible for them.
13) Intellectual property & feedback
The Services, underlying code, design system, and content are owned by Ticked Bucket List or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works except as allowed by law.
Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Services without obligation to you.
14) AI-assisted features
- Probabilistic outputs: Suggestions can be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. Review before acting.
- Human oversight: Use AI-assisted features as hints, not directives. Seek professional advice when decisions affect health, safety, or finances.
- Inputs: When you provide prompts or text for AI-assisted features, ensure you have the capacity and right to use that content.
15) Travel-specific risks
Travel involves risks (e.g., transport delays, environmental exposures, accessibility limitations, extreme weather). Ticked Bucket List does not arrange travel, provide transport, or guarantee outcomes. Always follow local laws, transport rules, and medical advice.
16) Beta & experimental features
We may offer experimental tools (e.g., new pacing helpers or “experience enhancers”). These are provided “as is,” may change or cease without notice, and may have more bugs or inaccuracies than standard features.
17) Warranty disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
18) Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ticked Bucket List and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the Services.
Our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of: (a) the amounts you paid to Ticked Bucket List for the Services during that period, or (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where prohibited, those limits do not apply.
19) Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ticked Bucket List from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
20) Governing law; disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Nairobi, Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you and Ticked Bucket List may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Consumer rights & local law
If mandatory consumer laws in your country give you additional rights (e.g., withdrawal rights for digital services in the EU/UK), those rights apply to you and these Terms are read to preserve them.
21) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or best practices. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or within the Services. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

23) Definitions
- “Services” means Ticked Bucket List’s website, tools, modules, educational content, and features.
- “On-device” means data is stored locally in your browser/app unless you actively export or share it.
- “Sensor features” are optional utilities using device capabilities (e.g., motion, mic) with your permission.
- “Subscription” means paid access to certain Services on a recurring basis.
