An example

A two-hour ceremony can mean a much longer day.

You want to attend a family ceremony. You may need somewhere to recline during the day and a way home before everyone else leaves.

01 · What matters

Attend the ceremony

Being there matters more than staying for dinner.

02 · What must work

Rest and transport

Check whether you can recline at the venue and get home independently, at a cost you can manage.

03 · Decision so far

Keep the choice open

Attend if essential arrangements are confirmed. Dinner can remain optional.

If reclining is essential, a sitting break will not replace it. If suitable rest or an affordable journey home cannot be arranged, consider another way to see the family rather than committing to this version.

What the Kit helps you do

Work out what the trip would take.

Start with a possibility, not a booking. Work through the decisions that matter, leave unanswered questions open and revisit the plan as you learn more.

  1. Describe what matters and what you need

In My plans, add the experience, essential needs, preferences and practical limits such as cost or recovery. You can leave unknowns open.

  2. Work through possible arrangements

In Work it through, review suggestions and why they appear. Change them or add your own. Keep track of anything essential that remains unresolved.

  3. Practise, revise and return

Test a possible disruption without overwriting your plan. If circumstances actually change, revise it and keep what you learn for future trips.

Before you decide

When the Kit may help

It may be useful if…

You are deciding whether or how to make a visit or trip work, and the answer depends on rest, access, timing, cost or your changing capacity. You want to revisit the decision as details become clearer.

You may not need it if…

You only need destination facts or a timetable, or you already have a reliable way to work through this decision.

Who developed the Kit

Dr Timothy Murithi Mwiti

A chronic pain specialist and anaesthesiologist with aeromedical travel experience. That work shaped the Kit's questions about rest, assistance, travel demands and getting home.

Questions about the Kit

If something is unclear, contact TBL before paying.

What does US$69 include?

One-time account access to a reusable, self-guided tool for working through travel decisions. It helps you consider arrangements and keep track of your choices; it does not decide for you. There is no subscription or individual review by Dr Mwiti or another clinician.

Can I start before booking or when I'm unsure of my limits?

Yes. You don't need a diagnosis or precise activity limits. Start with an idea, describe more than one difficulty and leave uncertain details open. Come back as your plans develop.

Can I move my work to another device or use it offline?

Your account lets you open the Kit, but saved trip work stays in your browser and does not sync automatically. Download a complete backup to move editable work. You need internet access to open the Kit; a saved or printed Trip Snapshot can be read offline and does not update automatically.

Who can see the trip details I enter?

Your trip entries are stored in your browser rather than automatically sent to TBL. Someone using the same browser may be able to see them even after you sign out. The standard Trip Snapshot excludes private health-context and practice notes, but other details may still be personal. Review before sharing and keep complete backups private.

Account, payment, contact and site analytics are handled separately. Privacy policy.

What if I cannot access the Kit or change my mind?

If you have purchased the Kit, sign in with your purchase account. If access is missing or a charge is incorrect, contact TBL rather than buying again.

Digital access is generally non-refundable once provided, subject to mandatory consumer rights. Purchase terms.

The Kit is not a medical service.

It does not diagnose, treat, advise on medication, assess fitness to travel or provide emergency care. It cannot make bookings, verify providers' arrangements, predict symptoms, guarantee a trip or provide legal or insurance advice.

Check arrangements with providers and ask your treating clinician about medical fitness to travel. Full boundaries.
