STARTER KIT GUIDE

How to use the Travel Again Starter Kit

Begin with something you want to do. Work through your choices, prepare another way and keep the details you will need.

This guide is free to read. The interactive tools are part of the paid Travel Again Starter Kit.

If you are deciding whether the Kit is for you, these instructions show how it works. If you already have access, use them whenever you need a hand.

Tool links in this guide open the members area. Sign in with the account you used to buy the Kit if asked.

You can use the Kit in short visits. You do not have to finish every section.

Begin with something you want to do

  1. Open My experiences. Say what you would like to be part of and choose the closest kind of experience. A name, destination and dates can wait.
  2. Choose Show ways this could work. Read the possibilities and what each would change.
  3. Choose Review this option. Edit it in your own words, check that it keeps enough of what matters, and save it as your working version or an alternative.

For example: you want to see your sister, but the journey and a full day together may be too much at once. You could compare changing the journey, agreeing a shorter catch-up or choosing another date. These are ideas to check with her and the relevant providers.

If none fits, write your own version or leave the decision open. You are allowed to decide that this particular experience is not worthwhile under the current arrangements.

Add detail where it could change a choice

In Work it through, open one part of the experience: getting there, the important part, where you rest, getting home or afterwards. Record what happens and anything that may be demanding.

The Kit looks for demands that share the same part of the day or follow each other without a pause. It does not measure your symptoms or tell you what you can manage.

Use Decisions & checks to record who can answer a question and when you need the answer. A recorded confirmation needs a source, answer and date. It means you recorded it; TBL has not checked it.

Use Practical arrangements for your next action, a place to pause, a way back, contacts and what to agree with others.

Stop and return

Unfinished form answers save as a draft after you stop typing briefly. Wait for the save message to confirm your work is saved before leaving the page. Use the form’s save button to add those answers to the plan and Snapshot.

Come back in the same browser on the same device. Open My experiences, select your experience and follow the next useful step. Signing into your TBL account does not sync your trip work.

Another person using this browser may be able to see the saved work. Avoid a shared device if this is a concern. Signing out alone does not erase the local work.

When something changes

Open Change plans. Choose what changed. The Kit shows relevant possibilities, including a matching saved alternative if you have one. Review and edit the action before saving it.

Earlier versions stay in Decisions & checks. Undo is available until another plan edit. Changing the plan here does not change a booking or contact anyone.

If the original activity has been cancelled, the Kit cannot make it available. A different date, a different way to take part or deciding not to proceed may be the honest options.

Keep the right kind of copy

For the trip
Open Trip Snapshot. Save a readable offline copy, copy the text, or print / save PDF. Open the saved file once before you leave. It stays readable without internet, but it does not update itself.
For another device or as a backup
Open My experiences → Backups. Download all your work. On your other device, sign in to the Kit, choose Bring in a backup and review the contents. Add copies when you are ready. The backup contains all trip details and notes you chose to reuse; keep it private.
For a companion
Choose parts to share. Tick only what is needed, preview the exact text and copy it or choose a sharing app. Nothing is sent automatically.

A fresh visit to the website needs internet. An open page may keep working without it, but do not rely on that: save the readable offline copy.

Remember what helped

After the experience, return to My experiences. Keep a short note about what helped and what you would do differently. Tick the separate option only if you want your “next time” note shown for future experiences.

You can remove reusable notes individually. They remain separate from deleting an experience.

If something is not working

  • You cannot get into the Kit: sign in with the account you used to purchase it. If access is still missing, contact TBL before buying again.
  • Saving failed: keep the page open. Use Download work from this page in the error message before leaving. You can also find backups in My experiences. Try saving again after making browser storage available.
  • Another tab changed the plan: download anything unsaved here, then reload. Work in one tab at a time.
  • Saved work will not open: download the stored copy before trying Restore the previous save, or import a downloaded backup.
  • The Kit looks empty: check that you are in the same browser, device and website address. Private browsing or clearing site data can remove local work. Try your backup. TBL cannot retrieve trip data that only existed in your browser.

For access or technical help, use Contact TBL. Say which page you were using, your device/browser and what happened. You do not need to send medical records or your whole backup.

What the Kit can and cannot do

The Kit helps you compare travel choices, keep your decisions and prepare alternatives. It is self-guided and includes no individual review. No subscription or consultation is needed to use these tools.

It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, medical clearance, emergency care, bookings, insurance or legal advice. It cannot guarantee accessibility, fewer symptoms or that a trip will be possible. Ask the responsible provider about its arrangements and an appropriate clinician about medical questions.

If a separate human review would help

For a developed trip and one important unresolved travel decision, the Trip Decision Review is a separate paid service. Applying does not commit you to paying. Your Snapshot can help you decide what you would want reviewed. It is not emergency or medical care.

Your next step

Read what is included if you are considering the Kit, or return to your experience if you already have access.
