Travel Again Starter Kit · Self-guided

You want to be there. The question is how.

A family celebration.

A visit you've been putting off.

Somewhere you've wanted to go for years.

When pain, fatigue or other practical needs make the trip harder to work out, TBL helps you look at the whole experience—not just the booking.

Decide what matters most, compare ways to make the visit work and prepare another option if an important arrangement changes.

US$69 once · Reuse for future trips · No subscription

  • Choose what matters most and compare possible arrangements.
  • Keep a working version, another option and the questions to check.
  • Save a Trip Snapshot you can refer to during the experience.

Developed by a chronic pain specialist. You do not need a diagnosis to begin. This is planning support, not individual medical advice.

See how the decisions connect

A two-hour ceremony can affect the whole day.

Suppose you want to attend a family ceremony. You need somewhere to recline if the day becomes difficult, and you do not want to rely on everyone leaving together. These details affect more than the time you spend at the event.

01 · Start with the experience

Be at the ceremony

That is the part you most want to keep. Dinner afterwards matters less.

02 · Consider what affects it

Rest and getting home

Check whether you can recline at the venue, and whether independent return transport is possible.

03 · Keep versions to choose from

A working plan and another option

Attend the ceremony and leave dinner optional. If arrangements do not work, consider a shorter visit or a different way to participate.

What still needs checking?

Ask the venue about a suitable rest space, confirm transport and check which parts of the day are fixed.

What could change the choice?

If reclining is essential and no suitable space exists, the current plan has a problem to resolve. Simply adding a sitting break would not answer it.

What if cost or somebody else's help changes the options?
An independent journey home costs more.
Consider whether to use that transport, shorten the visit, change another expense or leave the decision open until you know the cost.
A companion has offered a lift.
Check whether the lift is available at the time you might need to leave. If not, consider what you could arrange instead.
A practical detail is still unknown.
Keep it marked as unconfirmed. The Kit can help you identify a question, but it cannot verify the answer for you.
What if the difficulty is fitting two activities into one day?

Suppose you want to visit a museum and see a performance later. A ticket timetable alone may not tell you whether the journey between them, time in queues, meals and getting back will fit. The decision could be to keep both with a longer interval, move one to another day, or choose which matters most.

The Kit can help organise the options and questions, but you still need to check current opening times, transport and bookings with the providers.

About this example: It illustrates the kind of linked decisions the Kit helps you work through. It is not a recording or exact output of the live Kit, a customer result or a recommendation for your circumstances. You make the final choices and check arrangements with providers.

How you use it

Begin with something you want to do.

A family visit, day out, celebration or longer holiday is enough to start. You can begin before choosing dates or making bookings.

  1. Describe what matters and your circumstances

Add the practical details that may influence the experience, such as walking, sitting, rest, spending, assistance or recovery. No diagnosis or medical records are required.

  2. Review possible ways forward

The Kit explains why suggestions appear based on the answers you have provided. Compare them, edit them or choose your own. Important unknowns remain visible.

  3. Keep your choices and checks together

Save a working plan and an alternative. Record answers from providers, return arrangements and what you may need after the experience. Revise your plan when something changes.

A change before—or during—the trip

What if your original arrangement no longer works?

Before you travel, you can practise a possible change without replacing your working plan.

Suppose the rest space you expected is unavailable.

  1. Identify which part of the plan depends on that space.
  2. Consider a different confirmed space, a shorter visit or leaving earlier.
  3. Keep a question or possible response if you want to follow it up.

Practising does not overwrite your working plan. The practice session is temporary unless you explicitly save a question or response. If something has actually changed, use the Kit's separate change-plan process to review the update.

The Kit cannot predict symptoms, confirm availability or decide whether travel is medically suitable.

What you take away

A working plan, not just another list of tips.

Your decisions, questions and alternatives remain together as the experience develops.

Your chosen plan and an alternative

Keep the version you want to use and what you could change if a key arrangement does not work.

Questions and confirmations

Record what needs checking, whom you need to ask and which answers have been confirmed.

A Trip Snapshot

Copy, save or print the key decisions and practical details you may need to refer to away from home.

Selected details to share

Choose what a companion or provider needs to know, check it before sharing and keep the full backup private.

Information you can reuse

Start another plan with relevant settings about positions, movement and recovery, then adjust them.

Notes for future experiences

Record what proved useful or difficult and decide whether those lessons apply next time.

WHAT MATTERS
Be at my sister's ceremony.

WORKING VERSION
Attend the ceremony. Dinner is optional.

ALTERNATIVE
If the day becomes difficult, leave earlier using confirmed transport.

TO CHECK
Ask the venue about a suitable place to recline.
Confirm return transport and the cost.

The actual Kit produces a Trip Snapshot from your saved choices. A downloaded or printed copy does not update automatically after you change the plan.

Why the Kit asks these questions

Created by a doctor who works with chronic pain.

Dr Timothy Murithi Mwiti founded TBL after working in chronic pain care, anaesthesia and aeromedical travel. That experience informs the Kit's attention to details a simple itinerary may miss: whether a rest space meets your needs, whether promised help is available and how you will get home if the day changes.

About Dr Mwiti

Decide if it is useful for you

When might the Kit be worth US$69 for you?

Consider the Kit if…

  • You have something important in mind, and travel, timing, capacity, help, cost or recovery affect one another.
  • You want to compare arrangements and keep your working plan, an alternative and the unresolved questions together.
  • You are comfortable checking suggested arrangements with the people responsible and making the final choices yourself.

You may not need it if…

  • You only want to find out what deserves attention first. The free Mini-Check may be enough.
  • You only need a factual answer, a simple itinerary or a method of planning that already works for you.
  • You need individual medical assessment or somebody to make bookings. Neither is part of the Kit.

Before you buy

What to know before buying.

Here are the details about price, access, privacy and using the Kit. If something is still unclear, ask TBL.

What do I get for US$69?

One-time account access to the self-guided Starter Kit, for your own use on future visits and trips. You can make a working plan, compare an alternative, keep questions and confirmations, practise a disruption and prepare a Trip Snapshot. The Kit also supports selected sharing, backups and notes for next time.

There is no subscription. An individual review by Dr Mwiti or another clinician is not included.

Do I need to have chronic pain or fatigue to use it?

No particular diagnosis is required. The Kit was developed for people whose pain, fatigue or changing capacity can affect a journey, but its questions also cover everyday practical decisions about travel, companions, timing, rest and flexible arrangements.

It is not a general itinerary generator. If you only need destination facts, a booking service or a straightforward schedule, the free TBL resources or another planning method may be sufficient.

What if I have more than one condition or do not know my limits?

You can record more than one difficulty and leave answers open when you are unsure. The Kit works with the practical effects you describe, including movement, positions, rest, help and recovery. You do not need a particular diagnosis or a precise limit.

It shows how answers relate to suggestions. It does not diagnose pain, decide what is medically safe for you or predict recovery. If you report a new or concerning health change, seek appropriate medical advice before continuing routine travel planning.

Do I need to have booked a trip or finish everything at once?

No. You can begin with a visit or experience you want to plan, even without dates or a destination. Add more detail when you have it.

If you have already booked, concentrate on what can still be changed and what needs checking. You can edit suggestions, write your own plan or decide not to continue.

Can I stop and come back later?

Yes, when you return using the same browser and device. Ordinary answers are saved as drafts after you pause typing. Wait for the save message, then use the form's save button when you want them included in the plan and Snapshot.

Practising a disruption is different. That session is temporary. Leaving or reloading ends it. Only a question or response that you explicitly save becomes part of your records. Download a backup of work you want to keep.

Could I use a notebook, AI or the free tools instead?

Yes. If those give you the answers and arrangements you need, you may not need the Kit.

The Kit is useful when you want the reasons behind suggestions, different versions of a plan, unanswered checks and exports kept together. You can also try a disruption without changing the main plan and review earlier lessons before reusing them. Decide whether that is worth US$69 for you.

How do my account, different devices and offline use work?

Your account allows you to open the purchased Kit. Your trip work is saved separately in the browser you use, so signing in on another device does not bring the work across automatically. Download a backup and import it on the other device if you want to continue editing.

You need internet access to open the website. Save or print a readable Trip Snapshot for offline reference, and replace it after making changes. Clearing browser data or using private browsing may remove saved work.

Who can see what I enter?

Your trip entries are kept in the browser you use. Anyone with access to that browser may be able to see them; signing out does not remove them. Browser storage is not an encrypted medical record.

The standard Trip Snapshot omits private health-context notes and notes from a practice run, although practical details may still reveal personal needs. Read anything before sharing it, and keep full backups private.

Account, payment, contact and site-analytics data are handled separately. Read the privacy policy.

What if I buy the Kit and it is not right for me?

Access is generally non-refundable once the digital product has been provided. Mandatory consumer rights still apply. Duplicate or incorrect charges and problems accessing a purchase may require correction. Read the purchase terms before paying.

Not sure whether something is included? Ask about the Kit first.

I have already paid. How do I get back in?

Log in with the account you used to buy the Kit, then open it from your account. If access is missing, contact TBL rather than buying it again.

If the Kit opens but your work is missing, check whether you are using the same browser and device, or import your backup.

What the Kit does not do

Travel planning, not medical assessment.

The Kit does not diagnose or treat conditions, advise on medication, provide medical clearance or offer emergency care. It does not book travel or give legal or insurance advice.

It cannot confirm that a provider's arrangements will be available, prevent symptoms or guarantee that a trip is possible. Check travel arrangements with the people responsible and questions about medical fitness with your treating clinician.
